Artwork about ringing the bell resonates

Monday 2 November 2020 in News from the Cancer Centre

Many children and their families look forward to ringing the clinic’s brass bell as a milestone to commemorate treatments finishing, or procedures completed. Harrison, 4, and his family recently donated an artwork by Angus Olsen to the clinic that depicts a child reaching for the bell while being supported by a tower of people from all aspects of the child’s life. It’s an image that is enormously popular on Angus Olsen’s Facebook page and website, and one many families who are touched by childhood cancer can relate to.

Thank you to Harrison and his family for donating this beautiful artwork to the clinic, which has been painted in an appealing and colourful cartoon style and holds so much meaning for families.
