There are lots of things you can't do and sometimes friendships change as a result. Connecting with other teenagers who also live with cancer can provide real support.
The Western Sydney Youth Cancer Service (WSYCS) is a specialised service for adolescents and young adults aged 15-25 years who have been diagnosed with cancer.
The WSYCS is a multidisciplinary team (medical, nursing and psychosocial specialists) who are trained in meeting the unique needs of young people going through cancer treatment.
There is a dedicated clinic on alternate Mondays 3—5pm in the oncology outpatient clinics.
